How to Verify a Radiator Supplier in China
Radiators are fitment-sensitive and vulnerable to leakage, fin damage, weak packaging, and material substitutions. The supplier review should connect application, core, tanks, process, testing, and transport protection.

When to use this guide
Use this guide for passenger, commercial, or private-label radiators. Confirm the exact construction and application before comparing price because small changes in core, tank, fittings, and packaging can change cost and risk.
Decision checklist
What the buyer should verify
Application and geometry
Confirm OE reference, vehicle, engine, transmission, market, core dimensions, inlet and outlet, mounting points, fittings, cap, sensor ports, and included parts.
Materials and construction
Clarify aluminum-plastic, all-aluminum, or copper-brass construction, tube and fin design, tank material, header, gasket, fittings, and prohibited substitutions.
Process and test evidence
Review forming, brazing, crimping, welding, cleaning, pressure or leak testing, test calibration, repair policy, traceability, and nonconforming control.
Packaging and shipment
Approve fin protection, cap and fitting protection, bag, foam, carton, orientation, stacking, pallet, labels, and carton strength for the route.
Working sequence
Move from supplier claim to buyer decision
Freeze the radiator configuration
Record core size, overall dimensions, ports, fittings, tank or weld construction, accessories, application, and packaging.
Verify the production route
Identify who makes the core and tanks, who assembles and tests the radiator, and how subcontracted parts are controlled.
Approve sample and pressure evidence
Check fitment features, workmanship, fins, joints, ports, labels, packaging, and agreed leak or pressure test records.
Inspect batch and transport protection
Review identity, dimensions, damage, leakage evidence, fittings, caps, labels, cartons, stacking, pallets, quantity, and corrections.

- OE application, engine or transmission variant, ports, fittings, and dimensions
- Core, tube, fin, tank, gasket, header, and construction specification
- Brazing, crimping, welding, pressure, leak, and calibration evidence
- Approved sample, labels, accessories, fin protection, and packaging
- Batch inspection, damage, correction, and shipment-release record
Warning signs
- The quote uses one radiator photo for several engine, transmission, or market variants.
- Pressure or leak claims have no test method, equipment, calibration, or batch connection.
- Fin, fitting, port, tank, cap, or packaging details differ from the approved sample.
Responsibility boundary
Routine supplier checks and sampling do not prove full thermal performance, corrosion life, vibration durability, pressure-cycle life, or vehicle-level fit. Use appropriate technical validation for the application.
