Is Kymon a factory or a trading company?

Accepted Answer

Neither. Kymon is an independent sourcing agent that works only on the buyer's side. We don't own factories and don't sell our own inventory, so our only incentive is to find you the right factory at the right terms. Every supplier in our active network passes document checks and an on-site review — roughly 1 in 10 evaluated factories meets our criteria.

Which countries and markets do you serve?

We support importers, wholesalers, and repair-shop chains in 30+ markets, with the deepest experience in the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, South America, and Eastern Europe. Export documentation is coordinated for your specific destination.

What auto parts can you source?

Accepted Answer

Our network covers the main aftermarket categories — engine, braking, suspension and steering, electrical and sensors, filters, cooling, and body parts — for Japanese, Korean, European, American, and Chinese vehicles, including EV and hybrid parts. If it fits a vehicle, we can very likely source it.

How fast will I get a reply?

Accepted Answer

We respond to every inquiry within 24–48 hours. For standard parts, you typically receive a supplier comparison with pricing within 48 hours of sending your RFQ.

I don't know the OE or part number. Can you still help?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A part name, a photo, the vehicle model and year, or a VIN is enough to start. You can also use our free VIN Parts Finder to identify the exact part before sending an RFQ.

Question 6

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

Accepted Answer

MOQ depends on the part and the factory. Many partner factories are flexible with smaller importers — we regularly work with buyers ordering from around 100 pieces per SKU, with better pricing at higher volumes. Your quote states the exact MOQ per item.

Can I get samples before placing an order?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We coordinate samples from shortlisted factories so you can verify quality before committing. Sample and courier costs are usually borne by the buyer, and we photograph and check samples before they are dispatched to you.

The part I need isn't on your website. Can you source it?

Accepted Answer

Almost certainly. This website shows only a fraction of what our network covers. Send the part number, a photo, or even a rough description through the RFQ form and we will shortlist suitable suppliers.

How do you control quality?

Accepted Answer

In three layers: factories are vetted before onboarding, samples are checked before production, and batches go through AQL 2.5 sampling inspection before shipment. You receive a documented inspection report with photos and videos before the balance payment.

What is AQL 2.5 inspection?

Accepted Answer

AQL 2.5 is an international sampling standard that defines how many units are checked per batch and which defect levels are acceptable. It is a statistical check, not a 100% inspection or a zero-defect guarantee — critical defects are treated as no-release issues unless you decide otherwise in writing.

What happens if inspection finds problems?

You see the evidence first — photos, videos, and measurements. We then coordinate rework, sorting, or replacement with the factory before anything ships. No batch leaves without your release decision based on the documented report.

What if parts arrive with quality problems?

Accepted Answer

Document the issue with photos and videos and contact us. We help you present a structured claim to the factory and coordinate replacement or credit under the agreed order terms. The product warranty itself is provided by the manufacturing factory — Kymon's role is to make sure your claim is evidenced, presented, and followed up.

Can you supply parts under my own brand?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We coordinate private-label production with factories that support it: your logo on the product or packaging, custom boxes, labels, and inserts. Branding MOQs are set by each factory and are usually higher than plain-product MOQs — your quote will include both options.

Can you develop a part from my sample or drawing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in categories where our partner factories have development capability. Send the sample, drawing, or specification and we will assess feasibility, tooling cost, and timeline before you commit to anything.

Can I mix branded and neutral packaging in one order?

Accepted Answer

In most cases, yes. Packaging is coordinated per SKU, so you can build your brand on fast-moving items while keeping slow movers in neutral packaging to control cost.

What payment terms do you offer?

Terms are confirmed in each quotation. The most common arrangement with partner factories is T/T bank transfer: a deposit to start production and the balance before shipment — with the balance milestone tied to your passed inspection report. Other methods can be discussed depending on order size and factory policy.

How do I know my payment is safe?

Accepted Answer

Three layers of protection: every factory is verified before entering our network (business license, production capability, on-site review), payment milestones are tied to documented evidence such as inspection reports, and all payment documentation is coordinated and archived by our team. Kymon coordinates payment documentation but does not provide trade financing or credit.

Do I pay Kymon or the factory?

It depends on the order structure, and it is always stated clearly in your quotation and proforma invoice — who issues the invoice, which account receives payment, and what each milestone covers. No hidden layers.

Can I pay after the goods arrive?

Accepted Answer

For first orders, factories in China almost always require full payment before shipment. As order history builds, more flexible terms can sometimes be negotiated with the factory — we can raise it on your behalf, but it remains the factory's decision.

Can you combine parts from different factories into one shipment?

Accepted Answer

Yes — consolidation is one of the main reasons buyers work with us. Parts from multiple factories are staged, checked, and loaded together, so you receive one shipment, one packing list, and one set of documents instead of managing five suppliers yourself.

Which shipping methods are available?

Accepted Answer

Sea freight (FCL and LCL) for most orders, air freight for urgent or high-value parts, and international express for samples and small batches. We coordinate with your nominated forwarder or recommend partner forwarders — the choice is yours.

Can you deliver to my warehouse?

Accepted Answer

We ship to the port or address agreed in your quotation, under the Incoterm you choose (EXW, FOB, CIF, and others). For door delivery we coordinate with the forwarder up to the agreed point and keep you updated with tracking at every stage.

Do you handle customs clearance in my country?

Accepted Answer

Destination customs clearance is handled by you or your local customs broker, because import duties and regulations are country-specific. What we do is make clearance smooth: complete and accurate export documents — commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and others as required — coordinated before the shipment leaves.
