How to Verify a Control Arm Supplier in China

Control arms combine fitment-sensitive geometry with structural materials, joints, bushings, welds, coatings, and source components. The supplier review should explain who controls each part of that assembly.

Confirm OE reference, vehicle application, left-right position, mounting points, hole spacing, ball-joint taper, bushing dimensions, and supplied hardware.

Clarify cast, forged, stamped, or fabricated construction, material grade, heat treatment where applicable, subcontracting, and incoming-component control.

Assembly and protection

Review welds, ball joint, boot, grease, retention, bushing hardness, pressing, coating, corrosion protection, markings, and packaging.

Sample and inspection evidence

Approve dimensions, orientation, joint and bushing features, finish, labels, and product-specific test or process evidence before production.

Warning signs

  • The supplier cannot explain the source of the arm body, ball joint, or bushings.
  • Fitment is confirmed from appearance without controlled dimensions or application data.
  • Weld, joint, bushing, coating, or hardware details differ between sample and batch.
